Legal Assistant
Our client, a civil law firm in the Memorial Area, is seeking a strong, proactive Legal Assistant to join their team. This position will involve preparation, coordination and attending multiple meetings, preparing all documents for filings, and assisting with documents, orders, resolutions, and correspondence. The role involves a high degree of autonomy to manage multiple overlapping projects and deadlines. Other responsibilities include:
- Draft, revise, and prepare legal documents including correspondence, memoranda, and other legal materials
- Schedule depositions, prepare hearing notebooks, and assist in trial preparation
- Schedule meetings and conference calls, coordinate travel, and process expense reports
- Receive incoming phone calls and assist caller as requested and transfer to proper personnel
A minimum of 3 years of legal experience is required with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. The candidate must possess strong communication skills, have a very keen eye for details, and manage confidential information with discretion. Strong writing, editing, and/or proofreading skills are essential to perform all job duties.
