JIB Accountant

Our client is looking for an early-career JIB Accountant who’s eager to grow, enjoys solving problems, and thrives in a collaborative, upbeat environment. If you have a solid accounting background and love working with both numbers and people, this is an excellent next step in your career.

Responsibilities:

• Handle a steady volume of JIB activity, including reviewing and processing monthly invoices with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Prepare and validate joint interest billing entries while supporting the integrity of financial data.
• Assist with monthly close tasks, including reconciliations and variance review.
• Partner with operations and accounting teams to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Support reporting and system updates using EnergyLink and BOLO (training available).
• Contribute to a positive team culture and bring ideas that help streamline processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2–3 years of professional accounting experience; exposure to JIB processes is a plus.
• Comfortable working in Excel and general accounting software.
• Highly organized, detail-driven, and proactive in managing tasks.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
