Corporate Accounting Manager

Our growing Manufacturing client in Southwest Houston is seeking a technology-minded accounting leader to oversee corporate accounting, financial reporting, and accounting operations for a global organization. This role is responsible for all facets of the accounting department, including managing the month-end close, leading audits and tax compliance, strengthening internal controls, supporting treasury activities, IFRS financial reporting, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee corporate accounting operations, including general ledger, AP, AR, and month-end close while mentoring accounting staff
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting under IFRS, including consolidated financial statements and reporting packages
  • Manage external audits and coordinate with tax advisors and regulatory agencies
  • Strengthen internal controls, standardize accounting processes, and improve reporting efficiency across global operations
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting, treasury activities, and lender reporting requirements
  • Partner with executive leadership on acquisitions, financial due diligence, and special projects
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and system capabilities through technology and automation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience
  • Public Accounting experience required
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with direct IFRS experience and familiarity with U.S. GAA
  • Experience preparing consolidated financial statements for a multinational organization
  • Background managing audits, tax compliance, and internal control
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP Business One, Macola, or similar) and advanced Excel skills
  • Exposure to Power BI, AI, automation tools, or other financial technologies is highly desirable
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
