Asset Management Analyst
Our client in northwest Houston is seeking a skilled Analyst in Asset Management. In this role, you will collaborate directly with the Asset Management team to achieve diverse objectives aimed at boosting the financial performance of our clients assets.
As an integral team member of Asset Management, the Analyst will play a supportive function in matters such as financial evaluation, reporting, budgeting, project administration, and acquisitions analysis. The chosen individual should possess a remarkable command of Excel, a strong financial insight, and an unwavering attention to detail.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:
• Monitor and assess financial operational results, with a focus on pinpointing and addressing crucial drivers to enrich cash flow and profitability.
• Participate in shaping and implementing actionable tasks/projects identified in the financial review process.
• Deliver data-backed assistance by appraising and dissecting operating and capital budgets.
• Conduct ROI analysis and offer recommendations concerning capital expenses projects.
• Scrutinize asset expense performance vis-à-vis internal and external benchmarks.
• Assist in the assessment and negotiation of third-party contracts.
• Prepare, coordinate, and guarantee punctual finalization of property-level and portfolio reports, encompassing yearly business strategies, quarterly investor reports, monthly status updates, investor-specific digests, and other mandated reports.
• Contribute to the refinement of existing processes and advocate for the incorporation of best practices pertinent to the aforementioned responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with an emphasis on Finance, Accounting, or Real Estate.
• Proficient technical comprehension with the capacity to demonstrate intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel. A written and application-oriented Excel test will be included in the interview phase.
• A background of 1-3 years in former financial analysis and/or investment management roles.
• Familiarity with real estate investments, multi-family property management, and asset underwriting is advantageous.
• A self-driven initiator showcasing robust ownership, professional dedication, and determined follow-through.
• Effective communication skills, facilitating productive interaction with Senior Management and internal associates.
• Competent in analysis and organization, marked by a meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication prowess.
• Flexibility for travel within the U.S., sometimes on short notice, for spans of up to three days.
