Accounting Manager 

Our manufacturing client in South Houston is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, payroll, and cash management while leading a LEAN team.

This is a hybrid role (1 day remote weekly) reporting directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of AR/AP clerical staff
  • Oversee cash collections, payroll (weekly/biweekly), and cash management
  • Assist with GL, month-end close, and financial reporting
  • Reconcile 401(k) and support HR audits
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Support domestic multi-entity accounting
  • Maintain accurate, compliant financial records and operational workflows

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of accounting experience, hands-on in operations
  • 3+ years of payroll processing experience
  • Strong UKG experience (UltiPro or Kronos acceptable; training available if needed)
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to manage system configurations, run ad hoc reporting, and optimize processes
  • Proven track record of process improvement and operational efficiency
  • Experience in a mid-sized, multi-entity environment a plus
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
